What is California Youth RUSH?

It's an awesome way for young people to witness for Jesus.  You will personally visit people at their homes and share Christ-focused books with them that will help them physically, mentally, and spiritually.

 

Who Can Join?

You can be a student Literature evangelist!  You don't have to be a Bible scholar, just love Jesus.  You don't have to be the life of the party, just willing to meet new people.  You don't need any previous experience, just a desire to learn and work hard.

- You must be at least 16 years old on or before June 8th this year.

- You must be a Chrsitian, positions for non-Adventists are very limited.

- You must be a hard worker, willing to make 10 a week commitment.

 

How Does It Work?

Students work for 10 weeks during the summer, from June 8th until August 15th, with a group of 18-20 other young people.  In a normal week participants work Sunday through Thursday.  After brunch, worship, and training, you hit the streets offering people books and community services, including Bible studies.  Teams go out together, each with their own highly-trained leader.  On Friday you relax and have fun, then you share experiences with area churches on Sabbath.

The program provides transportation, housing, and brunch during the 10 weeks.  Participants earn a scholarship based on donations received.

 

What if I can't come the entire time?

We understand that many Adventist colleges and universities end the school year after June 8th, and some begin before August 15th.  You may still be a part of the California Youth Rush program this summer, just let us know what your situation is and we will work with you.
